Which devices does it support?

LAMO Creator supports iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. Recording, editing, and Save to Photos work offline. Saving requires permission to add to Photos and enough free device storage.

The camera or microphone is blocked

Open Settings, find LAMO Creator under Apps, and enable Camera and Microphone. Then return to the app. If Screen Time or a managed-device restriction blocks access, a parent, guardian, or device administrator needs to change that restriction.

How do I record without touching the screen?

In the camera, set a count-in and clip length using Timer. Start recording, get into position during the countdown, and the clip stops at the chosen length. You can also use supported volume-button controls, compatible AirPods, or a compatible Bluetooth camera remote. Accessory behavior depends on the device and accessory.

How do I line up a reveal?

Record your first clip, then turn on the ghost overlay to see a faint still of its final frame over the camera preview. Match your position before recording again. The grid and hand guide can also help. Keep the device on a steady stand between takes.

How do I add sound or adjust the mix?

In the editor, open Sound and choose a LAMO Originals loop. Use Added sound and Video’s own sound to adjust the two levels independently, or mute either one. Close the sheet and press Play to hear the mix with your video. The sound library is bundled with the app and works offline.

How do I add my voice after filming?

Open Sound & voice to record your voice over the video. Watch your edit while you record a take, then choose Use this one to keep it. Video playback is silent during recording to avoid picking up the speakers. Afterward, adjust the voice level and how much of the video’s own sound plays underneath. If later edits move the timing, the app lets you know so you can redo the voice take.

Can I add words or show two clips together?

Select a clip and open Text to add words, choose a style, and set their position. Choose an optional clip effect, including Sparkle, Hearts, Bokeh, Bubbles, or Glow. For a side-by-side reveal, choose Before & After: the first clip appears on the left and the last on the right. The shorter one loops to match the longer one. Choose Sequence to return to your clips in order.

How do I save a finished video?

Open your project and tap Save to Photos. The first time, iOS asks whether Creator may add to your Photos library. Creator renders the complete edit as a 1080p video and confirms Saved to Photos after Photos accepts it. Your editable project stays in Creator. There is no Messages composer or sharing screen inside Creator.

Save to Photos did not work

If Photos access is denied, open Settings, find LAMO Creator under Apps, and allow Add Photos Only. If Screen Time or a managed device restricts access, ask a parent, guardian, or administrator. Free device storage if needed, keep Creator open while preparing the video, and tap Try again. Your project stays intact if saving fails. You can cancel while the video is being prepared; a later deliberate save creates another copy in Photos.

Where are my videos saved?

Projects appear in Your videos inside LAMO Creator. They are not added to Photos, synced to iCloud, or backed up. The library shows storage use and an estimate of remaining capacity. Use Save to Photos to keep a finished copy; this preserves the finished video, not an editable project. Photos and any iCloud Photos syncing follow your Apple settings.

How do I rename or delete a project?

Open a project’s More menu in Your videos, or touch and hold it, then choose Rename or Delete from Creator. Confirming Delete from Creator moves it to Recently Deleted for 30 days. Open Recently Deleted and choose Put back to recover it. Projects there still use storage; choose Delete for good, or Empty Recently Deleted to remove all of them, when you want to free that space. Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Expired projects are removed when you next open the app. Copies already saved to Photos are not deleted.

The app stopped working

Close and reopen the app, check for an available update, and make sure the device has free storage. Keep the app open while exporting. Please do not delete and reinstall it as a troubleshooting step: that removes local projects, and we cannot restore them.
