Privacy policy
Last updated September 11, 2026.
Your projects stay on your iPhone or iPad. LAMO Creator does not upload them to us. Saving a finished video to Photos is your choice.
Who we are
LAMO Creator is made by LAMO Ventures, LLC, California, USA. This policy covers the LAMO Creator app and support you request from us.
What the app stores on this device
The app uses your camera and microphone to record video and sound. It stores those recordings, any voiceover you add, project names, thumbnails, creation dates, timer settings, on-screen text, selected sounds, audio levels, and editing choices inside its own storage on your device. It also creates a finished video file when you choose Save to Photos.
Recording, playback, editing, and rendering happen on the device. The storage meter reads available device space to help you manage your projects. This information is not sent to LAMO Ventures.
Diagnostic logs
The app keeps diagnostic logs on the device, including app and operating-system versions, device model, and recording, editing, saving, and deletion events. Those events include project names. The logs are not uploaded automatically, and the app has no way to send them. If you choose to provide diagnostics to support, we receive what you send and handle it as support correspondence described below.
No accounts, tracking, or uploads to us
There is no LAMO Creator account, sign-in, cloud service, advertising, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. The app does not request your location or contacts, and it does not read your Photos library or your conversations in other apps. We do not receive your projects, recordings, usage history, or device identifiers through the app, and we do not sell or use your content to train AI models.
Camera, microphone, and Photos permissions
The app asks for camera and microphone access before recording. Recording requires both permissions. It asks for permission to add videos to your Photos library the first time you choose Save to Photos, using Apple's add-only access (Add Photos Only); it does not ask to read, edit, or delete anything already in Photos.
You can decline any of these permissions and later change them in your device's Settings. A parent or guardian may also restrict them through Screen Time.
When you save to Photos
Choosing Save to Photos renders your project into a finished video and adds a copy to the Photos library on your device. That copy is separate from the project in Creator. From then on it is handled by Apple's Photos app under your own device and Apple settings: if iCloud Photos is turned on, Apple may sync it to iCloud and your other devices, and you can share it from Photos in any way that Photos allows. Creator is not involved in any of that, and we do not receive a copy.
Deleting a project in LAMO Creator does not delete a copy already saved to Photos. Deleting a video in Photos does not delete the project in Creator.
Storage, backup, and deletion
Projects and finished video files use iOS file protection. The app marks its project and export folders as excluded from device backups, and it does not sync them to iCloud. If you delete the app, lose the device, or erase it, we cannot restore your projects. A finished video saved to Photos is not a backup of its editable project.
To delete a project, open its More menu in Your videos or touch and hold it, choose Delete from Creator, and confirm. Its recordings, thumbnail, and editing information move to Recently Deleted for 30 days and continue to use device storage; its finished video file is removed. During that period, choose Put back to restore the project. Delete for good or Empty Recently Deleted removes the retained project data permanently. Expired projects are permanently removed when the app next opens. Deleting the app removes its local data; offloading an app is different and can preserve that data.
While editing, a removed clip may be kept locally for Undo. Clips made by splitting one recording share the same source file. To remove all source recordings for a project, permanently delete it from Recently Deleted. The finished video file made for a save is removed after saving finishes or when the project is deleted.
Children and families
The same on-device practices apply to every user, including children. The app has no public profiles, social feed, ads, direct messaging, or user registration, and it does not ask for a parent's approval inside the app. Parents and guardians can help children choose what to record and what to save, and can manage device permissions, Screen Time restrictions, iCloud Photos, and sharing from Photos using Apple's settings.
If you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the email or attachments. We use that information to answer your request and resolve the issue. Our email provider processes it to deliver and store the conversation. Please avoid including private videos or information about children; a parent or guardian should contact us on a child's behalf.
Support correspondence is kept while we handle your request and afterwards as part of our business records. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete it by emailing hello@lamoventures.com. We will delete it on request unless retention is required by law. We may need to verify that a request relates to you. We cannot access or remotely delete projects on your device.
Apple's services
Apple operates the App Store, device diagnostics, Photos, and iCloud under its own policies and your settings. This policy describes LAMO Creator's practices, not all data Apple may process independently. The LAMO Ventures website has its own privacy notice, which applies only when you visit the website.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy and the date above if our practices change. Questions or concerns can go to hello@lamoventures.com.
