Who we are

Lamo Times is made by LAMO Ventures, LLC. This page describes exactly what the app does with data, with no exceptions beyond what's written here.

No account, no sign-in

Lamo Times does not require an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user registration data of any kind — we have no record of who has installed or opened the app.

The swim results in the app

The times, standings, and records shown in the app are results published by the swim league itself — the same results already made public within the league community at meets and in league publications. They ship bundled inside the app's own local database, so browsing is fully offline: looking up a swimmer, a time, or a leaderboard never sends a request anywhere. The app runs no analytics software of any kind, so we do not know which swimmers, events, or screens anyone looks at.

How the results stay current

The app periodically downloads an updated results file from our servers so new meet results show up without needing an App Store update. That download is an ordinary internet request — it carries no personal information beyond what any request to a server includes, such as your device's IP address, which is used only to serve the request and is not stored or tied to an identity.

Crash reporting

If the app crashes or runs into a performance problem, a report is sent to Sentry, the crash-reporting service we use. It is configured to exclude personally identifying information from those reports. The app uses no advertising identifiers and does no tracking across other apps or websites.

The optional AI swim report ("Analyst")

Swimmer pages have an optional feature that generates an AI-written report about a swimmer's season. It only runs when someone taps to request it. When they do, the app sends that swimmer's first name — never their full name — along with their times and statistics already stored in the app's local database to our server, which uses Anthropic's Claude API to write the report. Other swimmers used for comparison are anonymized to counts and ranks, not names. Each report is generated fresh on request, and that data is not used to train any AI model.

Data about young swimmers

Lamo Times displays league-published results for youth swimmers — the same times and standings already published in league heat sheets and results, comparable to services like Meet Mobile or SwimCloud. We do not collect personal data from anyone who uses the app, including children: there are no accounts, no forms, and nothing typed in beyond the optional Analyst request described above.

Questions or concerns

There's no account, so there's no data-deletion flow to offer. If you have a question about how the app works, or a concern about league data shown in it, write to hello@lamoventures.com and a real person will read it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
